Jeture
more correctly known as Thought of the Jeture, its full title
is the one and only drama CD for the Escaflowne television
series. The CD, released on December 18, 1996, was given only one pressing.
The drama combines
certain scenes from the extended
edition of the Escaflowne TV series with new material about
the Asturian god Jeture. It takes place on the Escaflowne timeline
during episodes 5 (Seal of the Brothers) through 7 (Unexpected Partings).
Thought of
the Jeture has long been a source of puzzlement for fans, because
it is not only out-of-print and hard to locate — most copies available for sale are unlicensed fakes — but it was produced
for a Japanese-speaking audience. Without access to English translations,
most North American fans found it impossible to comprehend even
on the rare occasion when they did find a legitimate version to purchase.
Thanks to David
Jao, fans need not be puzzled any longer. The site was designed
expressly for the purpose of distributing David's 2004 English translation
of Thought of the Jeture to anime fandom.
Note: This site deals only with Thought of the Jeture. Information
about the two other Escaflowne audio dramas, released on CD for
the Escaflowne movie, can be found on the CD
